Lloyd Raymond Gittoes - Information

When Lloyd decided to enlist in the AIF, he was residing on Arnold St, Forest Lodge in Sydney and working as a polisher. Lloyd was born in Camden on the 8th of December 1899. His family moved away to Lithgow. Lloyd signed up to the AIF in Sydney on the 20th of May 1918, after he had just turned 18. He commenced his training at the M & D Depot in Liverpool. However, before long, peace with Germany was announced in mid November. The war was over. On the 18th of November Lloyd was demobilised, and was discharged from military service.
