Guilford Clifton - Information
Guilford was born in Picton on the 30th of March 1897. When he was older, Guilford worked as a labourer, residing with his family in Picton. When he was 21, he enlisted in Melbourne on the 27th of March 1918. He commenced training at Broadmeadows with the 1st Depot Battalion. However, he broke camp going AWL, a warrant was issued for his arrest on the 21st of May. A Court of Inquiry was then held at Broadmeadows on the 5th of June, where he was listed as a deserter.
