Frederick William Smith - Information
Frederick William Smith was born in Campbelltown on the 28th of October 1896. When the war began, he was living at Tichborne nears Parkes, where he worked as a labourer. When he was 22 years old, he enlisted in the AIF at Goulburn on the 18th of July 1918. Frederick was ready to leave for training, when he was involved in an accident, shot with a pea rifle bullet. This delayed his training. When he was able to travel to Camp, the war soon ended and Frederick was therefore discharged.
