Clifford John Giles - Information
The Giles family resided in Picton, where Clifford was born on the 25th of February 1900. The family then moved to Onslow St in Canterbury, where Clifford worked as a telephone attendant. He was serving in the Senior Cadets, when he enlisted in Sydney on the 2nd of May 1918. After he signed up, his father wrote the army in August. His father felt that Clifford was too young to serve, and asked for him to be discharged.
